The plan made by God to restore the spiritual world by remove the ignorance of the humanity is called as the Salvation Plan. God the Father made this plan to free the human beings who made the sin against His love by worship the creatures instead of Him the creator. To fulfill the will of God the Father, Jesus the Son decide to born as a human with the help of the Holy Spirit. To execute this plan which made before the times God select the people of Israel.
God the Father planned to offer his only Son as the sacrifice for the remedy of the sins made by the humanity. God wish to give birth to his Son as a offspring of chosen man who dared to offer his son as a sacrifice to Him. So God choose Abraham and command him to sacrifice his son who was born in his old age. Abraham obeyed God's command and went to sacrifice Isac. God prevent him through an angel and revealed his salvation plan: "By your offspring shall all the nations of the earth gain blessing for themselves, because you have obeyed my voice" (Genesis 22:18).
The incident of lifted bronze serpent in the desert at the time of Moses was a prediction of the event of lifted up Jesus on the cross. Among the people who were bitten by the fiery serpents, who were all looked upon the lifted bronze serpent saved their life. As the same, the people who were condemned by the God will get the forgiveness and eternal life when they look upon Jesus who was appeared among us as the image of the invisible God and lifted up on the cross. "God has reconciled in his Son's fleshly body through death, so as to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him" (Colossians 1:22).
After Israelite owned the and of Canaan, many prophets raised among the people of Israel were spoke about the God's salvation plan and the Messiah who is the Redeemer. The prophets prophesied about the birth, life, service, death and resurrection of Redeemer the Son of God. The prophets said that Son of God will born in this world and perform many miracles, who also will give himself sacrifice of atonement for human sins. Rely on their words, Israelite eagerly awaiting for arrival the of Messiah.

மனித குலத்தின் அறியாமையை நீக்கி ஆன்மீக உலகைப் புதுப்பிக்க கடவுள் வகுத்த திட்டமே மீட்புத் திட்டம் ஆகும். படைத்தவரான தமக்கு பதிலாக படைப்பு பொருட்களை வணங்கி, தமது அன்புக்கு எதிராக பாவம் செய்த மனிதரை பாவத்தின் பிடியில் இருந்து விடுவிக்க தந்தையாம் கடவுள் இந்த திட்டத்தை வகுத்தார். இறைத்தந்தையின் திருவுளத்தை நிறைவேற்ற, மகனாகிய இயேசு தூய ஆவியாரின் துணையோடு மனிதராகப் பிறக்க முடிவு செய்தார். காலங்களுக்கு முன்பே உருவான இத்திட்டம் மனித வரலாற்றில் செயல்படுத்தப்பட இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களை கடவுள் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார்.
மனித குலத்தின் பாவங்களுக்கு பரிகாரமாக தமது ஒரே மகனையே பலியாக கையளிக்க திட்டமிட்டிருந்த தந்தையாம் கடவுள், அவருக்காக தன் மகனை பலியாக கையளிக்கத் துணியும் ஒரு நம்பிக்கை மிகுந்த மனிதரைத் தேர்வு செய்து அவரது வழிமரபாக தமது மகனைப் பிறக்கச் செய்ய திருவுளம் கொண்டார். ஆகவே கடவுள் ஆபிரகாமைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, அவர் முதிர்ந்த வயதில் பெற்ற மகனான ஈசாக்கைத் தமக்கு பலியிடுமாறு கட்டளை இட்டார். ஆபிரகாமும் கடவுளின் கட்டளைக்கு பணிந்து ஈசாக்கைப் பலியிடச் சென்றார். கடவுள் ஒரு வானதூதர் வழியாக அவரைத் தடுத்து, "நீ என் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்ததனால் உலகின் அனைத்து இனத்தவரும் உன் வழி மரபின் மூலம் தங்களுக்கு ஆசி கூறிக்கொள்வர்" (தொடக்கநூல் 22:18) என்று கூறி தமது மீட்புத் திட்டத்தை ஆபிரகாமுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.
மோசேயின் காலத்தில் பாலைநிலத்தில் வெண்கலப் பாம்பு உயர்த்தப்பட்ட நிகழ்வு, இயேசு சிலுவையில் உயர்த்தப்படும் நிகழ்வை முன்னறிவிப்பதாக இருந்தது. கொள்ளி வாய்ப் பாம்புகளால் கடிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களில், உயர்த்தப்பட்ட வெண்கலப் பாம்பைப் பார்த்ததும் உயிர் பிழைத்தனர். அவ்வாறே கடவுளின் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளான மக்கள் அனைவரும், கட்புலனாகாத கடவுளின் சாயலாக நம்மிடையே தோன்றி சிலுவையில் உயர்த்தப்பட்ட இயேசுவை உற்று நோக்கும்போது, கடவுளின் மன்னிப்பை பெற்று நிலை வாழ்வை உரிமையாக்கி கொள்கின்றனர். "நீங்கள் தூயோராகவும் மாசற்றோராகவும் குறைச் சொல்லுக்கு ஆளாகாதோராகவும் தம்முன் விளங்குமாறு ஊனுடல் எடுத்த தம் மகனது சாவின் வழியாக கடவுள் உங்களைத் தம்மோடு ஒப்புரவாக்கினார்" (கொலோசையர் 1:22).
இஸ்ரயேலர் கானான் நாட்டை உரிமையாக்கி கொண்ட பின்பு, இஸ்ரயேல் மக்க ளிடையே தோன்றிய இறைவாக்கினர்கள் பலரும் கடவுளின் மீட்புத் திட்டத்தையும், மீட்பளிக்கும் மெசியாவையும் பற்றி எடுத்துரைத்தனர். இறைமகனாகிய மீட்பரின் பிறப்பு, வாழ்வு, பணி, மரணம், உயிர்ப்பு அனைத்தையும் பற்றி இறைவாக்கினர்கள் மக்களுக்கு முன்னறிவித்தனர். இறைமகன் இவ்வுலகில் பிறந்து, பல்வேறு அற்புதங் களை நிகழ்த்துவார் என்றும், மக்களின் பாவங்களுக்கு பரிகாரமாக தன்னையே பலியாக கையளிப்பார் என்றும் இறைவாக்கினர்கள் எடுத்துரைத்தனர். அவர்களது வார்த்தை களை நம்பி, இஸ்ரயேலரும் மெசியாவின் வருகைக்காக ஆவலுடன் காத்திருந்தனர்.
